With this certification, enterprises can use SilverStream products when developing and deploying J2EE and Web services based applications on Oracle9iAS.
eXtend Workbench and jBroker Web are key products in the SilverStream eXtend product suite, an integrated services environment designed to simplify and accelerate the creation and delivery of service-oriented applications.
eXtend Workbench enables the rapid creation of J2EE components and Web services using wizards, visual designers, archive-based projects, and one-button application deployment to Oracle9iAS and other J2EE application servers.
jBroker Web is a portable Web services engine with tools for building, running, and invoking Web services using Java. It also provides a standards-compliant, Web services runtime with a small footprint and flexible architecture.
"The high performance, lightweight Oracle9i Application Server provides an ideal platform for the development of Web Services-based applications using SilverStream eXtend," said Thomas Kurian, vice president of product development for Oracle9iAS.
By leveraging the capabilities of SilverStream's applications, enterprises can "rapidly and seamlessly deliver business-critical applications to the Web on Oracle9iAS," Kurian added.
Eric Lien, vice president of global marketing for SilverStream Software noted, "The integration of SilverStream eXtend Workbench and jBroker Web with Oracle9iAS offers developers a fast and efficient solution for J2EE and Web services based application development and deployment."
