IntelliNet Technologies, an application development software and service provider specializing in applications for wireless, wireline, and IP networks, announced the release of Accelero 6.2, the latest version of the company's application development software for 2.5G 3G wireless and intelligent network applications.
Among the new features of Accelero 6.2 are an ISDN User Part to enable protocol and distributed Message Transfer Part transport. The vendor believes this will allow Accelero to expand the amount of viable SS7 links while still maintaining a single point code. Other additions include active/active software redundancy, Linux/Solaris (64-Bit) OS support, improved operability through SNMP-enabled traps, and extensive Man-Machine Language for easier configuration.
Accelero 6.2 also adds European Telecommunications Standardization Institute (ETSI)and China variants for Intelligent Network Application Part (INAP), and China variants for Signaling Connection Control Part (SCCP), and Transaction Capabilities Application Part (TCAP). Finally, Accelero 6.2 supports boards from a variety of new vendors including Adax, SBE, Radisys, and Acculab.
Accelero, IntelliNeta's flagship product, is designed for application developers, system integrators, telecommunication OEMs, and VARs as they develop and deploy applications to operate simultaneously via SS7, IP, and ATM signaling networks. The solution aims to enable developers to author applications independent of underlying and disparate party components, such as protocol stacks, application layer APIs, and hardware interface cards. Accelero also offers an XML interface to speed software development and time-to-market.
By offering an independent signaling transport architecture, IntelliNet Technologies believes Accelero 6.2 eliminates the need to redevelop service applications for 2G, 2.5G, 3G, and IP/SIGTRAN networks. Software developers can separate the business logic from the underlying protocols and a transport layer to allow for easy and flexible deployment of solutions that can operate across heterogeneous networks and environments.
