arcplan, a developer of business intelligence solutions, this week released dynaSight 3.5, the newest version of its flagship analytic development platform. dynaSight's rapid application development environment is designed to help IS organizations provide critical data quickly to business users as well as enable users to obtain, analyze, and act on information.
By adding Solaris support, arcplan says that it can leverage the scalability and reliability of the enterprise server solution. Future releases of dynaSight will also support HP-UX 11, Mac OS X, and Linux.
Version 3.5 offers a native interface to Oracle's relational database. Beginning with Oracle8i and continuing through its most recent Oracle9i release, this interface, which complements the previously offered ODBC interface for Oracle, is available for both the Unix and Windows operating systems.
dynaSight 3.5 also offers SAP Enterprise Portal users a single sign-on capability. This allows users to reduce the number of passwords needed to access their data through dynaSight from various SAP sub-systems while maintaining the same level of security.
